Manhattan Portage is a messenger bag brand founded in 1983.
To this day, we have continued to consistently create products based on the brand's roots in New York, a city with a diverse culture and remarkable changes every day.

Manhattan Portage BLACK LABEL follows its roots and proposes products that can be used both on and off, with minimal and sophisticated designs and functionality that are more suited to urban styles.

TARPAULIN VINYL

A vinyl-based material made by sandwiching nylon or polyester fabric with a soft synthetic resin film (PVC). It is flexible, has excellent heat and cold resistance, is resistant to UV rays, and is extremely durable and waterproof, as it is used for banners, banners, tents, etc. For Manhattan Portage BLACK LABEL, it is mainly used on the front of the bag to improve water resistance.

CORDURA Ballistic

INVISTA's CORDURA®BALLISTIC NYLON is approximately 5 times stronger than regular nylon, and is heat resistant enough to not penetrate even if a cigarette is pressed against it for a few seconds. In the United States, it is used in bulletproof vests and military clothing. It is an ultra-lightweight, high-strength, glossy, and supple material that will not damage clothing. Manhattan Portage BLACK LABEL uses 1680D as its main fabric.

BUCKLE

Delrin® buckle with Manhattan Portage logo. Manhattan Portage was the first in the bag industry to use polyacetal resin (POM), which was originally developed as an industrial component and can withstand long-term use in harsh environments and conditions. Manhattan Portage uses it for the buckle part because it is light and does not rust.
